HOW TO CONFIGURE FTP SERVICE IN WINDOWS 7 SYSTEM

       File Transfer Protocol (FTP) is a way to transfer and upload files to other computers and the Web. Your Windows 7 computer can become a FTP server if you enable the setting on your system. This allows you to upload and send large files without third-party applications that sometimes cost money. You can manage the server through the IIS management console that you can easily enable.
To Configure FTP SERVICE on WINDOWS 7 follow the steps:
  1. Click the “Start” button in the lower-left corner of your desktop. Scroll up and click “Control Panel.” Or open run and type “control panel”

     

     

  2. Choose “Programs and Features” and then click the “Turn Windows features on or off.” 
  3. Click the small “+” sign next to “Internet Information Services.”
  4. Click the small “+” next to the “FTP Server” item and then put a check mark in the box next to “FTP Service.”

  5. Click the small “+” next to “Web Management Tools” and then put a check mark next to “IIS Management console.” Close all the windows
